POST #13 – READING GRQ AND DISCUSSION– MARGOT LOVEJOY – THE CAMERA AS ARTIFECIAL EYE AND THE INFLUENCE OF TOOLS

Discussion:

What I see in the photograph are different signs that are hidden, and a person behind a pole hiding as well. I also see lots of advertisements from other places to eat and for stores as well, with prices on glass windows everywhere. What I think about every time I look at this picture is how they do all these advertisements back then, and how was the infrastructure back then as well. Was it better than the infrastructure of what we have today? And how were they able to place so many advertisements on a single wall if it can be distracting if someone is trying to read one or another. This picture makes me feel confused, but fascinated at the same time, because it can be a piece of history and shows how times were simpler and how each lifestyle was different back then, on what people would do and what people would wear.
